SETSUO KANO
[1952-]

A master artist, once in a millennium, who possesses both a deep understanding of the philosophy, aesthetics, and ideas cultivated by Japan over centuries and a modern sense of beauty. Furthermore, he has the remarkable skill to transform vast imagery into completed works by his own hand.
Questioning modern society, where human senses and culture are being lost as a trade-off for technological progress and convenience, he has been energetically continuing his creative activities since 2020, driven by a desire to pass down Japan's proud culture to future generations.
His artworks holds overwhelming energy, capable of delivering shock and inspiration to all who view it, regardless of their knowledge or preferences in art.
A new form of art has emerged, captivating people around the world. I am confident that these works will bring true "inspiration" to the new era of global exchange.
